Survey Research Opportunity-Faculty Policies on AI in the Classroom
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Victoria Ledford, and I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication and Journalism at Auburn University. Along with my colleagues, Dr. Matthew Salzano, Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University, and Dr. Drew Ashby-King, Assistant Professor at East Carolina University, I am conducting research to understand how college and university faculty teaching in communication (including but not limited to advertising, communication, journalism, mass communication, media studies, public relations, and rhetoric) discuss their policies on the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) within their communication courses.
Participating in this study involves completing an online anonymous survey that will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Participants who complete the study will be eligible to enter a random drawing and potentially win one of 50, $20 gift cards. Participants can enter the random drawing by following the directions at the end of the survey to enter their email in a survey unconnected from their study responses.
If you are 18 years or older and are a faculty teaching a communication-related college or university course and have a policy on AI within any of your courses, ranging from policies prohibiting AI to policies promoting its use, you are eligible to complete this study.
