Hello All,

The Game Studies Division had a brief pre-conference meeting about a week ago and some desires for recommendations were voiced. In particular, there were questions about the following:

1. Where to watch the Champion's League final? It will obviously be happening in Paris, but will there be any showing of it in our hotel, etc.?
2. Vegan recommendation for Paris. Our members would be eager to know of any good vegan options for dinner, lunch, etc.

Hi Max & game division. I work in the US but I'm originally from Paris. From experience, A LOT of bars usually show the CL final... It's possible the bars in the hotels will. Best option is to ask the hotel. I'd be surprised if none of the hotels had any options to watch the game.

If someone is a fan of a particular team, both Liverpool and Madrid have official fan clubs in the city. Liverpool's has two main bars in the city:

• Lush Bar, 16 rue des Dames, Paris 17^th (Metro : Place de Clichy on lines 2 and 13)
• Kop Bar, 123 Boulevard Ney, Paris 18th. (Metro : Porte de St Ouen on line 13)

The first one is a better neighborhood and closer to the conference site.

Madrid's is meeting at l'Initiale Café in Boulogne Billancourt, 66 Avenue Emile Zola, 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt (Metro: Billancourt on line 9).

Finally the city is organizing an outdoors fan zone, expected to be on the Cours de Vincennes (an avenue that runs from nation to Porte de Vincennes – direct metro from Porte Maillot on line 1). Thousands of people are expected, including many Brits. 

As for vegan options, it can be tough here. Supposedly, the best vegan pizza in the world is in the city though... https://pizzajulia.fr/menu
I asked a friend who's vegetarian, and she said there are good vegan burgers at Hank (55 rue des Archives or 8 rue de Rochechouart). She also recommended Soya Cantine Bio (20 rue de la pierre levée) and 42 degrés (109, rue du Faubourg Poissonnière) as good vegan places.
