    Dear ICA colleagues,

I'm delighted to announce a cfp for a special issue on "Training for JournalismS: Current Challenges, Innovations, and Reinventions in Contexts" in the multilingual journal Sur le Journalisme/On Journalism, which has been groundbreaking in its practice of publishing in French, English, Spanish and Portugese (see this link for English cfp version: https://lnkd.in/e6StSuuu ). Journalism practice and training is globally plural, despite important common ground and despite tendencies of scholars to sometimes project Western models and experiences on the world. How are similar and different contemporary challenges negotiated in the training of journalists differently around the world and with what effects on practice?

The deadline for submitting complete manuscripts (5,000-8,000 words maximum, including footnotes and bibliographical references) directly on the journal's website is April 15th, 2025:
https://lnkd.in/e_Ujg2kY. You will also find details there regarding editorial style. Manuscripts can be written in English, French, Portuguese, or Spanish. The articles will undergo double-blind peer review.

This special issue is co-edited by Sophie Dubec (Université Sorbonne Nouvelle), Camila Moreira Cesar (Université Sorbonne Nouvelle), Jayson Harsin (American University of Paris). Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the call for papers.

Wishing you all a wonderful new year!
    Cordially,
Jayson Harsin for the editorial team Camila Moreira Cesar
    Sophie Dubec
