As we gear up for the ICA conference, we know many of you might be feeling a bit anxious - about travel, the state of academia, job prospects, or just navigating it all in today's political and funding climate. You're not alone.
That's why we're launching the IDEA Channel - a space to talk honestly about these challenges and share resources, support, and ideas around Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA).
We're the IDEA Committee, and our role is to help ICA live up to its values by:
🔹 Defining what IDEA means across our global community
🔹 Spotting areas for growth and recommending ways to improve
🔹 Creating space for conversations that matter
Use this channel to:
💬 Share your experiences (good or tough)
📍 Ask questions about visas, safety, or inclusion at the conference
🤝 Connect with others who care about making academia better for everyone
