You are warmly welcomed to the next research process seminar.
This seminar introduces the method of fuzzy set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) highlighting its usefulness for understanding complex patterns of causation in the social sciences generally and in the field of communication in particular. The seminar will make a case for the importance of comparison as a method and will also question how comparison is generally conceived in communication i.e. a comparison between states.
About the speaker: John Downey is Professor of Comparative Media Analysis and Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor Loughborough University UK.
5 May at 2pm BST on Zoom
About the research process seminar series:

This research seminar series differs from a typical research seminar or conference presentation. Rather than focusing on research findings, it foregrounds good practice in the process of doing research. This may include research methods, but also wider issues such as publishing, writing, time management, and career development.

Speakers will reflect on the anatomy of a project or approach, with an emphasis on process - including challenges, successes, and failures. The aim is for audiences to leave with practical insights into methods or approaches they can apply in their own work, helping us all become more effective researchers.

And if you can't make it but want the recording then please register and I'll send it
    cheers
    Dan
