    Dear all,

we sent you all a very warm Welcome and do invite you to our Post-Conference on Emistemic Injustice and the Role of Authenticitity in the Media on May 30th at the University of Toronto's St. Michael's College. It will be a hybrid conference that takes place on-site as well as online.

Since Miranda Fricker's work on Epistemic Injustice was published, the discussion has enormously evolved. The question which role knowledge and science play with regard to a more socially just and sustainable society is highly topical both in media ethics and in neighboring disciplines. Presently there are discussions on why the current structures of knowledge generation and communication are violent in themselves and how transformation processes can be successful. Both practical and intercultural philosophy offer approaches to questioning and deconstructing universalisms, media ethics provides an understanding of how master narratives shape societal perceptions of knowledge and science.

How do even these approaches exert epistemic violence and thereby obstruct the vision of greater participation and socio-ecological justice? How does an inclusive understanding of knowledge relate to the value of authenticity? Can the ethics of authenticity help to overcome epistemic injustice?

We have gathered a number of highly interesting presentations from around the globe on vaious aspects that inform the field and get informed by latest reserach. Therefore, we invite you to spent one more day with us in excellent discussions and discourse on Epistemic Injustice.

The one-day conference is taking place at St. Michael's College, University of Toronto, 81 St Mary St, Toronto, ON M5S 1J4, Kanada. You can also join us online.

Please find the preliminary program here - and register. All registered participants will receive the access link a few hours prior to the conference start.

We hope to meet you at the venue or online!
