    Dear ICA community,

    I am Patrick Zhang, an incoming PhD student in Emerging Media Studies at Boston University. I am writing to recruit participants for my study on the well-being and media consumption of international LGBTQ+ students in the United States.

    Survey Link: https://bostonu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bd8ztrEmEXaRmDk

    Background & Goals: International LGBTQ+ students in the U.S. may experience identity conflict as they navigate their ethnocultural and LGBTQ+ identities, and we seek to examine this phenomenon with this national survey. We are here to hear your voice in this challenging time.

    Eligibility: You will be eligible to participate in this study if you meet all of the following criteria:

    Self-identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community;

    Are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in the U.S. (excluding online programs);

    Self-identify as an international student (we are interested in lived experience rather than immigration status, meaning that you can still participate if you are not on a student visa but have grown up outside of the U.S.).

    Procedure & Compensation: Participants will complete a 15-minute online questionnaire about your identities, mental well-being, and entertainment media use. Qualified participants will have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win one of 25 $10 Amazon gift cards.

    Confidentiality: The main study questionnaire is anonymous. We share your concerns about the sensitivity of this study and make every technical effort to protect our participants.

    If you have any questions: Please do not hesitate to email me at mohanz@bu.edu.

    We look forward to hearing your voice!
