    All are invited to add some discussion to my latest draft article entitled, "Internet History Differentiated: A Proposal" here:

    I would be honoured if you could write a few sentences for the Discussion section along with a line that identifies you and your status, and send it to me at npac825@aucklanduni.ac.nz by June 30th 2025.


    I propose that social scientists begin to differentiate history into non-Internet years (up to 1960), military/pre-Internet or Cold War years (1960-1995) and post-Internet years (1995- onward). I write about what hinders this (or why we don't differentiate Internet history) and why it would be a benefit to do so. I illustrate the article with one of my infographics that I designed and Hannah Day crafted. The article is 28 pages and about 8,200 words. 

    The infographic featured in the article is part of a collection of infographics related to this research which I am presenting at the New Zealand Science Festival in July 2025 in a session entitled 'Making Internet History More Visible' here:
