Dear all
The African continent hosts the youngest population in the world, yet African children are some of the least researched - particularly when it comes to their digital use
The recent DFC report, African children's rights in relation to the digital environment, brings together the experiences of 599 children across 14 countries in the continent. The report reveals comparable risks and opportunities to other children across the world, highlighting how customs and socio-material factors impact how children can participate and thrive online.
On the 30th of July, Digital Futures for Children centre (DFC) will host our annual summer meet-up, to spotlight our recent report and our current work in Africa ✨
We will be joined by our collaborators Jennifer Kaberi and Liz Busisa from Mtoto News who will reflect on their projects with the DFC and the impact their work is having across Africa.
Our meet-ups welcome anyone, and invite nuanced and open discussion about current issues around the world. Join us!
