ICA IDEA Denver Queer Capitol Hill Tour
The ICA Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) Committee wants you to meet colleagues and explore our conference location with this special tour.
To sign up, please fill out this form and follow the directions included: https://forms.gle/nVYi3r2vSJDBJ32N9

Explore Queer Capitol Hill with David Duffield, co-founder and coordinator of the Center LGBTQ History Project for Colorado on Colfax. The tour will explore how public spaces were a refuge and places to connect for LGBTQ people in Denver and discuss the enforcement and consequences of anti-queer laws in residential spaces. Finally, we will look at places of liberation like the first headquarters of the Gay Coalition of Denver, apartments for Denver Area Mattachine Society, and the first headquarters for the Gay Community Center of Colorado. From within the spaces of Capitol Hill came the hearts and activism of generations of queer people, a legacy born of streets, parks, and private spaces.

The walking tour is $5 and will depart from the conference hotel at 3pm on June 14th.
And don't forget to join the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) community here on the Link!
