Call for Papers! I'm co-guest editing a special issue on "Digital Transformation in Qualitative Research: Ethically Approaching New Methodological Horizons" in the International Journal of Qualitative Methods.
As AI, digital platforms, and algorithmic systems reshape social life, qualitative research faces both extraordinary possibilities and serious ethical, epistemological, and methodological questions. This collection invites work that goes beyond "using new tools" to critically examine how digital transformation is changing what it means to know, interpret, and do qualitative research well. Note: all positions on digitalization welcome. This is neither a "rah rah progress" nor "we are doomed" venue.
Submission deadline: July 30, 2026 (please send a title or abstract earlier for review if desired)
