As announced during our Division Business Meeting, the Organizational Communication Division (OCD) invites nominations for the position of Division Secretary, to be filled through the September 2026 ICA election. We encourage interested members to consider serving on the Division's leadership team.
Responsibilities of the Division Secretary
The Division Secretary is responsible for:
- Preparing, distributing, and obtaining Division approval of the minutes from Division business meetings;
- Administering the annual W. Charles Redding Dissertation Award competition and presenting the award at the ICA Annual Conference;
- Supporting the Division Chair in the administration of Division business meetings; and
- Assisting the Chair in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of Division programming.
Term of Office
The Secretary serves a two-year term, from June 2027 through June 2029, beginning immediately following the 2027 ICA Annual Conference in Glasgow and concluding after the 2029 ICA Annual Conference in Chicago.
Division officers are expected to attend the ICA Annual Conference throughout their term of service and must maintain active ICA membership for the duration of their appointment.

Both self-nominations and nominations of colleagues are warmly welcomed. If nominating another individual, please confirm their willingness to stand for election before submitting the nomination.

- Candidate's name;
- Current title and institutional affiliation; and
- A statement of support (maximum 300 words).
