The ICA Political Communication Summer School 2026 invites applications from PhD students and early-career researchers working on any aspect of political communication. Held at the University of Leeds, 13-17 July 2026, the Summer School offers an intensive week of masterclasses, project presentations, and mentoring with an international faculty including Christian Baden, Stephen Coleman, Regina Lawrence, Joerg Matthes, Patricia Moy, Chris Fei Shen, Lone Sorensen, Talia Stroud, Sebastián Valenzuela, and Claes de Vreese.
Building on a summer-school tradition that began in Milan and now spans nearly two decades, the 2026 Leeds edition continues a well-established international forum for emerging scholars in political communication. The programme is designed to help participants engage with current developments in the field while receiving detailed feedback on their own research in a small, international cohort.
The application deadline is 30 March 2026 (17:00 GMT). The £550 fee covers accommodation at Devonshire Hall from Sunday night to Saturday checkout, plus lunches and refreshments. Applications require a form, CV, 3-page research proposal or extended abstract, and a referee letter.
