The International Association of Language and Social Psychology (IALSP) is a long-time ICA Affiliate. For many years we have mutually benefitted from the interdisciplinary and international research at the cross-sections of communication, language, and social psychology. We invite you to deepen our connection by joining our Association and participating in our 2026 conference!

The International Conference on Language and Social Psychology (ICLASP) is a biennial event sponsored by the International Association of Language and Social Psychology (IALSP) that brings together scholars from around the world to explore the multifaceted relationship between language and social psychological processes and outcomes on groups and individuals.

The 2026 conference, ICLASP19-Tucson, will provide a dynamic forum for researchers to share their latest findings, exchange ideas, and engage in critical discussions about the role of language in shaping and respond to our social world. We look forward to welcoming you to Tucson for an intellectually stimulating and engaging conference experience with a beautiful desert backdrop.

You are invited to explore our conference website and begin crafting your submission.

The call for submissions is open! The submission deadline is October 1, 2025 at 5 pm CST.

If you would like to learn more about IALSP please attend our Partner Panel at ICA - Showcasing the Impact of Language and Social Psychology Scholarship on the Communication Discipline Friday June 13, 2025 from 4:30-5:45 in Capitol 3 (Regency 4).
