Strategic Sustainability Communication: Exploring communication for sustainability to enable communication about sustainability
Dear Communication Professional,
I apologise in advance for any cross-postings!
Dr Lauren O'Mahony and I are currently conducting a study that aims to extend research on strategic sustainability communication through a collaborative approach. Based on the view that internal communication is the starting point to achieve an organisation's sustainability goals, our study proposes a two-fold exploration of sustainability, encompassing both communication for and about sustainability.
As a communication professional, your insight and expertise would make a valuable contribution to exploring the pragmatic relevance of our study. You are subsequently invited to partake in an online survey. You will be asked to complete this survey anonymously based on your experience as a communication professional in the context of sustainability communication. Once analysed, the survey results will solely be used for academic purposes, and a summary, as well as a link to any publication, will be shared with all respondents who were approached to partake in the study.
Your participation in this survey will help build a more in-depth understanding of sustainability communication and highlight possible gaps and improvements that we, as academics and practitioners, could make towards the betterment of the economy, environment, and society.
The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete, and it would be highly appreciated if you could complete the survey by 30 August 2025.
The survey can be accessed here.
More background information on this study and instructions are shared in the survey link.
Should you require more time to complete the survey or require any additional information, please contact Dr Yolandi Botha (yolandi.botha@murdoch.edu.au).
