  • 1.  #ICA23 Know Before You Go

    The 73rd Annual ICA Conference is one week away! Here's some important information that will help you prepare for the conference.

    PREPARING FOR YOUR PRESENTATION

    • Sessions differ depending on session type and Division or Interest Group. If you have any questions, such as how long your presentation should be, please contact either your session chair or Division/IG Planner. (Typically, there is a 15 minute Q&A so the session's remaining hour is divided among the number of presentations. Four papers, then, means 15 mins per paper).
    • All session rooms are set up with an audio headphone jack and an HDMI cable close to the projectors.
    • Bring your presentation on a USB or bring your laptop to connect or, if you are in a hybrid session, follow the instructions given to you by your Chair.
    • Reference this Best Practices Guide for your presentation.

    HOW TO ACCESS THE VIRTUAL PLATFORM

    By now, you should have received an email with your login credentials and instructions on how to access the virtual platform from Cadmore. If for some reason you have not yet received this email, please check your spam/junk folders just in case before contacting events@cadmore.media. 

    CONFERENCE APP

    If you have not yet received an email on how to log into the conference app, please reference how you can download and access the app here. Please use event invitation code: qg9mgvhke7. Please use the same email you registered for conference with to access the app.

    CHECK IN/PICK UP NAME BADGE

    Come by registration on the Lower Concourse level of the Sheraton during open hours (starting Thursday at 9:00am) to pick up your name badge! Just use the email you registered with to check in. And, have your registration receipt available just in case.

    A word about COVID precautions. Conditions worldwide, and the local health guidance in Toronto, are such that ICA will require neither masking nor proof of a COVID vaccination to attend ICA23. While masks are not required, we recognize the right of each individual to mask as they see fit due to personal health concerns, immune compromise, etc, and ask that everyone be understanding of each individual's personal choice in this matter. ICA will have a plentiful supply of extra masks on site for those who wish to use them. Thank you for your patience with us as we work to do the right thing for our #icaCommUnity.
