Dear ICA Members,
I am pleased to share with you the latest Special Issue of Human Communication Research (Volume 51, Issue 3), titled "Communication and the Self: Past, Present, and Future."
Guest edited by Dr. Markus Appel and Dr. Amanda Holmstrom, this issue revisits a central concern in communication research-the self-and examines how it is shaped by, and expressed through, communication across interpersonal, mediated, and cultural contexts. The collection features theoretically rich and methodologically rigorous work that speaks to scholars across subfields, including identity, interpersonal processes, media psychology, and digital communication.
