    STUDENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

As a small staff organization of just seven people; ICA relies on help from our student member volunteers to execute our annual conference. By participating in our student volunteer program, student member volunteers assist ICA staff with crucial tasks such as: setting up the registration desk, handing out programs and ribbons, onsite badge printing at the pre-registration badge pick-up booths, serving as a "runner" for important errands, handing out the awards ceremony programs, minding the onsite brand store booth, and more. Space is limited, application does not guarantee selection. Approximately forty individuals will be selected to volunteer, priority is given to those who demonstrate significant financial need.

IN THE WORDS OF PREVIOUS VOLUNTEERS

"It was a fantastic experience last year, and I made some great connections, including my current co-author...." ~ Aliaa K

"Volunteering with the ICA Conference in Toronto was an incredible experience, particularly as a first-time attendee. Working with the ICA team and fellow young scholars from around the world was truly inspiring and the opportunities that followed were invaluable. I highly encourage others to get involved!" - Kim

    BENEFITS

Selected volunteers who complete their assigned service receive:

    · A main annual ICA conference registration waiver for this year's main conference registration fees

    · A modest stipend for each shift

    · Certificates of completed volunteer service are available upon request

    · The unique experience of working side by side and building rapport with ICA staff and fellow student members, not to mention face time with the larger membership base.

The fine print. Eligibility is limited to current ICA Student Members; all other membership types or non-members are ineligible. Volunteers are responsible for making, and funding, their own travel and hotel accommodations. ICA does NOT cover travel expenses or housing for volunteers. Space is limited; priority will be given to those who demonstrate significant financial need.
