The Ph.D. program in Communication, Information, and Media at Rutgers University will hold a virtual information session for prospective students interested in learning more about our Ph.D. program on Monday, October 5, 2026 from 6:00-7:00pm ET via Zoom.
Our vibrant faculty in the Communication area of the Ph.D. program conduct problem-oriented research at the intersection of six interconnected areas of study, including Communication and Technology, Computational Social Science, Health Communication, Interpersonal and Family Communication, Language and Social Interaction, and Organizational Communication. Faculty in Media Studies explore a broad set of questions that examine the role of media – of all types and on all platforms – in culture, society, politics, and history. Students interested in these areas of study are encouraged to attend the information session and apply to our program.
