    Dear ICA Colleagues

We are a team of five topic editors and we are currently co-editing an article collection with Frontiers in Communication, "Towards a Philosophy of Data Visualization. Design, Aesthetics, and Epistemology". The collection is about data visualization as a powerful form of visual communication. Data visualizations can influence decision-making and shape the way we see the world. The Research Topic aims to contribute to an emerging philosophy of data visualization by promoting research on, among other things, the epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, logic, and critical theory of data displays.

The deadline for manuscript submissions is 30th April 2023, but we can accommodate extensions on a case-by-case basis. All research will be published open access.

You can learn more about the Research Topic here:  https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/45599/towards-a-philosophy-of-data-visualization-design-aesthetics-and-epistemology

We would be delighted if you would contribute a paper.

    Best regards,
